An update on double wall paper cups

As you already know, we changed the cardboard of double wall paper cups. The second (outside) wall of the paper cup now is being produced from recycled cardboard. We made this decision because we as a company care about sustainability. By starting to use recycled cardboard we reduced CO2 emission and we made our products more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

However, some of our clients expressed a negative opinion on the new double wall paper cups because of its grey look and while sustainability is very important to us, the needs of our customers are always a priority. So, we asked you for your opinions about the new double wall paper cups from recycled cardboard and successfully collected enough of your opinions to be able to draw conclusions. Thank you again for your answers.

For most of our customers, sustainability is also very important. So, we will continue on this path. Our customers agree that sustainability is future and going back to the old cardboard would be a step back.

Still, there are some customers who would prefer the recycled cardboard but as long as it’s white. We value your preferences, so we will look for alternatives to improve our product. But searching and testing alternative materials take time, it’s usually a long process. But we are starting it right now and believe we’ll find the solution hopefully till the summertime.

We understand that there are customers who would like a white cup. So, a single wall cup always remains as an alternative for them. Or maybe they could look for other cup design solutions while avoiding the white color.
